What is it?
Toddler play is a play session planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The sessions have a choice of activities including arts & crafts, messy play, construction toys, problem solving games and much more
What will I get out of the sessions?
Parents/carers will learn the importance of children’s development through play and will be given ideas and information on how they can further enhance their child’s learning at home to support them in their readiness for nursery/ school.
Who is it for?
Children that are confident walkers to 5 years, and their parents/carers. Younger siblings can come along too, but our focus on the session will be for confident walkers and up.
How many sessions are there?
Classes are every week, term time only, please see individual Family Hub programmes or call your local centre for days and times.

How will these sessions help my child become nursery/school ready?
Personal, Social & Emotional development:
Build friendships, learn to share and take turns. Explore the world around them and try new activities, encouraging indoor and outdoor play
Physical development:
A range of activities that promotes children’s fine and gross motor skills, such as the big movements for strength and posture and small movements in preparation for activities such as writing.
Communication & Language development:
Children will have the opportunity to play with others, building on their listening and communication skills, there is a book area available each session and finishes with a group sing along
