Making it easier for everyone to be active
Everyone's starting point for being active is different.
For some people it’s about confidence. For others it’s time, health, cost or just not knowing where to begin. Put simply, there’s no single way to be active and we know it's not always easy. The key is to find what fits your life right now.
That’s why we’ve brought together some helpful support to help you get started.

Finding your own way to move more
Not everyone sees themselves in a particular group or starting point. That’s okay, sometimes the hardest part is just knowing where to begin.
We want to help you find things that feel right for you, not things that feel out of reach or intimidating. That might be something close to home, something new you’ve never tried before or something you used to enjoy and want to come back to.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to feel possible.

Creating things together, in your community
A lot of the best ideas start small.
Someone decides to start a walking group. A neighbour opens up a space for others to come together. A local idea turns into something that helps more people feel included and connected.
We want to support more of that.
If you’ve ever thought “I wish there was something like that here,” this is about helping you bring that idea to life - or supporting someone else’s.

Moving through everyday life more easily
Sometimes it’s not about motivation at all.
It’s about whether the path feels safe. Whether there’s somewhere nearby to go. Whether services are easy to understand. Whether you feel like people like you belong in those spaces.
We’re working with local people to improve those things - the small and big barriers that get in the way without always being obvious.
That might mean better paths and parks, clearer services or simply listening to what people say needs to change.
We also want to make sure your experience matters in shaping those changes.
