Get your blood pressure checked

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which means many people may be living with it without knowing. Across the UK, millions of adults are thought to have high blood pressure without a diagnosis, increasing their risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney disease. Locally, it is estimated that around one in three people in Warrington may have undiagnosed high blood pressure.

Other ways to check

If you can’t make any of the sessions blood pressure checks are also available at most pharmacies and through your local GP surgery as part of an NHS Health Check, which is offered to adults aged 40 to 74.

You can also buy lowcost blood pressure monitors, starting from around £20, from pharmacies or online, making it easy to check blood pressure at home or while out and about.
