Warrington’s Home Information and Improvement Agency (WHiA) is a non-profit advisory service dedicated to helping you repair, maintain, and improve your home.
Our aim is to support older and disabled people in living safely, comfortably, and independently at home. We’re here to guide you through every stage of your home improvement journey — from advice and planning to getting the work done.
Most of our clients are homeowners or people who rent in the private sector, although some of our services are also available to those living in social housing.
Our highly experienced, friendly and trusted home improvements and support team undertake a range of jobs to support independent living. These include:

We offer a range of accessible, customised, stylish and functional bathrooms and fittings installed by our highly experienced contractors. From walk in showers and wet rooms, to downstairs toilets we can help.
Kitchen adaptations & installation
We can support with standard and accessible kitchen designs, talking through possible storage and accessibility solutions tailored to need.
Major home adaptations
Whether you need structural repairs, home adaptations, roofing work or damp-proofing, we can deliver and project manage your home improvements from start to finish. Working with trusted builders and occupational therapists, we oversee every stage – from sourcing tradespeople to managing budgets – to make the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
