Reading Well Books is a national scheme which helps people to manage their well-being through self-help reading.  The scheme is endorsed by health professionals and supported by public libraries.

As part of a wider treatment plan, GPs, or other health professionals can prescribe recommended self-help books.  Patients can then take the prescription to a library and borrow or reserve the book.  The books are also available for anyone to borrow from their local LiveWire Library.

Becoming a member of LiveWire Libraries is easy, just visit any LiveWire Library or join online at Library • Livewire   No ID is needed.

Each library has a collection of Reading Well Books and these books can be reserved for FREE.
