Free Blood Pressure Checks - Stockton Heath Library
The council is encouraging residents to get their blood pressure checked for free this April by attending one of several free Blood Pressure Drop‑In sessions taking place across the borough.
High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which means many people may be living with it without knowing. Across the UK, millions of adults are thought to have high blood pressure without a diagnosis, increasing their risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney disease. Locally, it is estimated that around one in three people in Warrington may have undiagnosed high blood pressure.
These drop‑in events aim to reach residents who may have undiagnosed high blood pressure, so they can access the support and treatment needed to bring it under control. That might mean making healthy lifestyle changes such as eating a balanced diet, reducing salt intake, being more physically active, or starting medication where appropriate.
Residents can drop in to one of the sessions to have a blood pressure test quickly and free of charge.
