The Advanced course is for Learners who have attended and completed the Basics and Design & concepts courses and wish to continue to develop their skills to enable you to continue you to develop and design your own floral arrangements. Learners are welcome to enrol who have previous attending the advanced course in floristry.
The course will help you develop skills and techniques learnt on the basics and design & concepts courses. With the skills you have learnt, you will be encouraged and given the confidence to plan, design and make you own floral arrangement.
During the course you will:
- Develop floristry techniques to enable you to produce a variety of floral designs e.g. Hogarth Curve and Minimalist Ikebana.
- Identify and complete floristry techniques and design principles in each design
- Discuss floral material used in the designs and how to make the best of your floral material including how to take care of your design.
- Learn how to cost one design to be sold, showing the breakdown of cost to make a profit and include labour charge.
- Look at using sustainable materials and how they can be incorporated in your designs
