Our neighbourhood image of Padgate Meadows is shared with thanks to local resident Anthony Marsh.
Anthony says:
"Paddington Meadows, is my favourite local place to go to in Warrington, less than two miles from the town centre. It’s an oasis for Wildlife and beauty, managed by the Council and assisted by a dedicated group of volunteers. The volunteers run numerous activities for everyone and organise work parties, including dry hedge building, Reed management and also carry out periodic litter picks with all involved, activities include a monthly bird survey , small mammals, late evening Bat walks, Dragonfly surveys, and a fungi and insects survey. All funded by the volunteers donations.
Everyone is welcome to join the group and get involved. The Meadows is a very important green space for Warrington residents and people from further afield. Most definitely Nature gives a boost to to your health, body and mind."
